Senior Engineer Offshore Wind (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Engineer Offshore Wind (m/f/d) for our technical team.

The Engineer will support the Merkur technical and asset management team with a variety of tasks that are required for the operation of our wind farm and for keeping the asset in the best possible technical shape.

This variety of tasks requires the candidate to be very flexible, but it also provides for the opportunity to get insight in all aspects of the operation and management of the wind farm.

Tasks

• Project management of service contracts for annual maintenance of foundations, transition pieces and array cables incl. management of related procurement processes
• Monitor progress of service activities in accordance with the schedule
• Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental requirements
• Close interaction with operational management to ensure smooth execution of works, incl. identification of lessons learned for continuous improvement
• Liaison with contract management to ensure compliance with budget and contractual protections
• Technical support of mechanical interfaces to wind turbine generators and tower
• Liaison with electrical engineering
• Review design and execution documentation prepared by the service providers and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
• Support asset lifetime assessments and extension strategies
• Initiate or review design changes to improve operational performance
• Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders
• Occasional travel to the windfarm

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineerin
• At least three years' experience in a project management, engineering or maintenance management role, preferably offshore
• A broad interest in all aspects of renewables which can be of a technical, contractual or commercial nature
• Good communication skills in German and English
