Location: Remote within Germany, with occasional alignment meetings in Frankfurt

Contract: Freelance / invoiced basis

Project scope: One or more clearly defined projects, each agreed upon separately. Current engagement is scoped for 6–12 months based on requirements and progress. Future work may be offered as follow-up projects.

Our brands LILLYDOO and Vivoy not only find their way to our customers via our own website, but are also increasingly present on other online marketplaces and in different drugstores. IN THIS PROJECT, YOU WILL...

Develop and maintain theme code using Liquid, JSON, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS – including deployment via GitHub / Shopify CLI
Implement responsive, pixel-perfect layouts based on design mockups, working closely (but asynchronously) with stakeholders from Marketing, Design, UX, and Backend
Independently prioritize and organize your work, taking ownership of both quick fixes and more complex frontend tasks
Extend and maintain our Vue.js-based applications, including interactive elements like configurators or customer portals
Integrate APIs (Shopify Storefront API via GraphQL and custom APIs) with modern security and authentication practices
Continuously optimize, test, and debug storefront functionality to ensure high performance and a seamless user experience

Requirements

YOUR SKILLSET

You bring solid experience in frontend development with modern frameworks - especially or React.
You have hands-on expertise in Shopify, particularly in theme development and working with Liquid.
You write clean, responsive code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – always with a mobile-first mindset.
You have experience integrating APIs, ideally including GraphQL.
You work independently, pragmatically, and enjoy taking ownership of your tasks.
You have a portfolio that includes 1–2 strong Shopify projects showcasing your frontend skills.
You communicate fluently in English (C1 level or higher), as most collaboration will happen in English.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with design-driven implementations, e.g. agency background
Openness to long-term, project-based collaboration across multiple phases
References that demonstrate your UX/UI sensitivity
Familiarity with tools like: Shopify Admin & Theme Editor, Recharge, GitHub, Figma
