    The Role



    As part of the Office of Airworthiness, the Airworthiness Coordinator will perform certification tasks to secure EASA and other Competent Authority airworthiness approvals for Lilium products. He/she will be responsible for supporting the certification program activities , maintaining the certification requirements in the requirements management tool, preparing the minutes of meetings, tracking the action items , and coordinating the certification topics internally with the OoA Team members and IPTs.

    Your Day To Day



    You will report into the Deputy Head of Airworthiness and work closely with all our Engineering and Certification Teams give support to the CVEs , IPTs and Designated Airworthiness Engineers. Your contribution will be key for the development of Lilium's ground-breaking aircraft.

    • Assist in generation and review of certification packages and manage their delivery to regulatory authorities to achieve product and type design certification.
    • Interface with EASA in various areas such as aircraft certification, development of means of compliance, regulatory changes, flight standards, inspections and continued airworthiness.
    • Co-ordinate project certification activities as required internally with Lilium teams and externally with the authorities.
    • Prepare the Minutes of Meetings, coordinate the actions with the IPTs.
    • Generate and track the status of the EASA / FAA action items on Jira.
    • Coordinate and prepare the meeting materials with the IPTs (Integrated Product Teams) and CE ( Chief Engineering).
    • Maintain the certification requirements and keep the requirements management tool up to date for Type Certification Requirement.  
    • Assist in generation of performance and progress reports of certification tasks.
    • Support the development and maintenance of the Design Organisation Handbook procedures.
    • Maintain DOA records, engineering files and company records.
    • Representing the company in meetings with authorities as well as taking part in international working groups and committees such as Eurocae, ASTM, GAMA.



    Your Profile


    • Strong motivation to contribute to the product certification and airworthiness process.
    • 1-5 Years experience in aviation field preferably with EASA Part-21 or similar regulations.
    • Any knowledge of Aircraft Certification and Development Assurance is beneficial.
    • Engineering bachelor's degree (BEng/BSc) desirable.
    • Positive contributor to company objectives.
    • Previous experience in the creation of certification procedures in line with regulatory requirements or Engineering Quality standards.
    • Knowledge of EASA and FAA airworthiness and environmental requirements
    • Prepared to work hours to suit certification projects and activities as required.
    • Ability to support occasional national and international travel at short notice.
    • Confident in delivering technical information in presentations
    • Previous experience of working with rulemaking associations including EuroCAE, ASTM, GAMA, SAE.
    • Literate in Office software and documentation control systems
    • Familiar with requirements management tools (siemens doors, polarion, etc. ) and project management tools (jira, deltek, etc.).
