Tasks
- Leverage your technical expertise to support the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure
- Write maintainable, performant code and participate in code review effort
- Collaborate (both asynchronous and synchronous) with other functions to ensure data needs are addressed
- Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation
- Research and develop the most suitable methods to extract/transform/serve data from and to various sources
- Develop and maintain data quality standards and optimize data performance and scalability
- Ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and concepts to improve overall team performance and data stack
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in data engineering
- Expertise of cloud computing platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++
- Good understanding of software engineering principles (e.g. Git, Docker, code testing)
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g. Metabase, Looker)
- Proficient in SQL and data modeling skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
