This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer – Billing Team in Germany.
This role offers the opportunity to design and build mission-critical billing and metering systems in a fast-growing cloud environment. You will work across both frontend and backend technologies, integrating with multiple internal and external systems to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will influence business strategy through technical expertise and ownership of complex software projects. This position provides significant responsibility, direct impact on business operations, and the chance to work in a distributed, remote-friendly environment with a focus on high-quality, compliant, and accurate billing solutions.
Accountabilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain the cloud billing and metering platform, ensuring high availability and accuracy.
· Build frameworks and platforms that abstract infrastructure complexity while remaining secure, efficient, and mature.
· Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define business requirements, user needs, and optimal technical solutions.
· Integrate with various systems, including billing, metering, logging, monitoring, and support tools.
· Lead and deliver large-scope technical projects with ownership from design to production.
· Ensure observability, reliability, compliance, and security across all billing processes.
Requirements
· 5+ years of software development experience with front-end and cloud-based systems.
· Hands-on experience leading and shipping complex technical projects in collaboration with multiple engineers.
· Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Serverless frameworks, EKS, SQS, and MongoDB; experience with multiple languages preferred.
· Solid understanding of billing concepts, including credit card processing, usage-based billing, CSP marketplaces (AWS, GCP, Azure), invoicing, sales tax, auditing, and record-keeping.
· Experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software lifecycle.
· Expertise with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and its infrastructure services.
· Excellent problem-solving, production debugging, and communication skills.
· Self-motivated, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with high ownership and accountability.
