  • IsraAID Germany e. V. is a German humanitarian aid organization dedicated to responding to the evolving needs of crisis and conflict-affected populations, both within and outside of Germany. Our mission is to support these communities as they transition from crisis to recovery, rehabilitation, and sustainable living. Following a recent rebranding process aimed at enhancing our identity and impact, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fundraising Professional to join our Development and Partnerships Department.

    Position Overview:

    The Fundraising Professional will play a crucial role in the Development and Partnerships Department, with a primary focus on cultivating and actively building relationships with private donors, major donors, and corporate partners. In addition to securing financial support for IsraAID's humanitarian projects and building new fundraising initiatives aligned with our rebranded identity, they will be responsible for internal capacity building in NGO fundraising.

    Tasks

    • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies targeting private donors, major donors, and corporate partners, in alignment with organizational goals and the newly established brand identity.

    • Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations, leveraging networking opportunities and personal connections.

    • Support preparation of grant proposals, funding applications, and donor presentations tailored to the interests and priorities of potential donors, incorporating the organization's new brand messaging and values.

    • Collaborate with program staff to ensure that fundraising efforts are aligned with project needs and objectives, providing guidance and support as needed.

    • Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns targeted at private donors, major donors, and corporate partners, leveraging their networks and resources to maximize impact and promote the organization's rebranded identity.

    • Maintain accurate donor records and financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

    • Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, adapting strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness in engaging private donors, major donors, and corporate partners.

    • Frequent business trips may be necessary to meet with donors, participate in events, and visit project sites.

    • Provide internal capacity building in the area of fundraising in the non-profit sector

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, marketing).

    • Proven track record of success in fundraising within the NGO sector, with a focus on cultivating relationships with private donors, major donors, and corporate partners.

    • A nuanced understanding of European Jewish communities and their philanthropic dynamics, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders and donors within this context.

    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including high-net-worth individuals and corporate executives.

    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented approach to fundraising.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software (e.g., donor databases, CRM systems), good knowledge of Google Workspace

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    • Ability to travel

    • Commitment to IsraAID Germany´s mission and values, with a passion for humanitarian work and social justice.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German, with the ability to communicate complex ideas persuasively and effectively.

    • Any other language is an additional advantage.
