Ceph Storage System Engineer (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Operation of our S3 / Object Storage Solution (focused on Ceph).
• Monitoring of all the systems and KPIs.
• Extending and improving Ceph source code.
• Incident Management and post-mortems / problem analyzes.
• Automation of deployment, monitoring, maintenance tooling and processes.
• Participation in a flexible on-call and on-duty rotation.
• Agreement to get a security check by the German government (Ü2 / SÜG).

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Linux Server (Debian / CentOS).

• Proven experience in the administration of large Ceph clusters.

• Experience in C++ programming.

• Knowledge in configuration management and workflow automation, preferably with Ansible or Rundeck.

• Business-Level Englisch.

• Nice-to-have:

• Experience load balancers, preferred haproxy.

• Knowledge about prometheus and grafana.

• Practice in scripting in Python.

• Understanding about S3 standard.
