Hula Earth tackles this gap with tech-driven solutions, combining satellite insights and our proprietary IoT sensor network to make nature investments scalable, actionable, and measurable.
Aufgaben
🌟 Role Impact
- Develop ML models for environmental data analysis and bioacoustics
- Engineer efficient data pipelines for complex multi-modal data streams (audio, sensor, satellite)
- Extract actionable environmental insights for our customers from large-scale environmental data
- Collaborate with senior scientists and engineers on core algorithms
📋 Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
- Develop and improve species detection algorithms
- Process and analyze earth observation and sensor data
- Create data-driven environmental health indicators
- Validate and test ML models
Development
- Write clean, documented Python code
- Build and maintain data processing pipelines
- Drive real-time analysis by optimizing critical data processing paths
- Implement scientific papers and methods
- Contribute to our core ML framework
Collaboration
- Collaborate with senior scientists on environmental research
- Support hardware team with edge ML models
- Help improve data collection methods
- Document findings and methods
Qualifikation
🎓 Requirements
- 2-4 years data science experience
- Strong Python programming skills
- Broad (Software) Engineering skills to be flexible and independent
- Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Knowledge of geospatial data processing
- Nice to have: Background in environmental science or similar
