  • GlassFlow is an end-to-end data streaming infrastructure for Python developers. We are an early-stage VC-backed startup based in Berlin, building a category-defining infrastructure product from the ground up. GlassFlow will enable millions of data engineers around the world to extract value from their real-time event data without the pain of maintaining the underlying infrastructure. GlassFlow is led by experienced founders and backed by world-class investors, including Heikki Nousiainen (CTO Aiven), Thomas Dohmke (CEO GitHub), Sergei Sokolenko (ex Snowflake, Google) and many more.

    We are looking for someone to help us take our company to the next level. Your role will have a significant impact and be critical to our success. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to help shape our overall company structure and processes. You'll work closely with both founders and be involved in key projects.

    Tasks

    1. Financial Planning and Budgeting of multiple mio $ budget:

    • Lead the budget planning process and ensure effective allocation of resources to meet business objectives.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial targets.

    2. Human Resources Management for a fast-growing team:

    • Manage HR functions including recruitment, development, and retention.
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, conduct interviews, and oversee the hiring process.
    • Create and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
    • Design and execute retention strategies to foster a positive work environment and reduce turnover.

    3. Taxation Oversight:

    • Oversee all tax matters for both our main company in the USA and our subsidiary in Germany, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations.
    • Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize tax structures and minimize tax liabilities.

    4. Strategic Management Projects:

    • Develop and implement innovative and strategic measures to optimize business processes in close collaboration with the operations, product, and finance teams.
    • Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, (Business) Law, or related field.
    • Several years of experience in operations management, preferably in an international context.
    • Experience in working with US entities
    • Experience in HR management and personnel leadership.
    • Analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
    • Experiences or comfortable to work in a Start-Up environment
    • Very good communication and teamwork skills, fluent in both German and English.
