We're looking for a motivated Kotlin Engineer (m/f/d) who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success. The team you will be joining will architect, build and run crucial internal FlixMobility applications and services in the finance domain.
You will be part of a high-impact team, with multiple senior engineers, owning critical products across our finance funnel—from revenue accounting for tickets and vouchers to commission settlements for partners and payment reconciliation. This team is an integral part of how Flix finances work, right from handling tickets sales to the profit & loss statements for the company. As a part of this team you will get the opportunity to solve some very interesting finance challenges with your tech expertise.
About the Role
- You will work in a self-organized and cross-functional team
- You will take part in planning, designing, and implementing a new product from scratch
- You analyse, propose, and drive technology improvements
- You will be expected to write clean code
- You will collaborate with teams across the organisation
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with exposure to event-driven architectures and data processing systems
- Proven experience working with Kotlin, Spring, TypeScript, DynamoDB, and SQL in a commercial environment.
- Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD and capable of writing infrastructure as code, ideally using Terraform
- A strong belief in the DevOps mindset ("You build it – you run it"), especially in the area of database administration
- Experience in working with cloud-based infrastructure providers, ideally AWS
- Experience with Docker orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS
- Experience in front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML5, and third-party libraries such as React.js or Angular) is a plus
- Fluent in English
