We co-founded and led Viafintech (Barzahlen) to 100+ employees - one of Germany’s most successful fintechs, active in 17 markets across the EU and US, and sold in 2021 to the NYSE-listed Paysafe Group.
Now we’re building our next venture: finperks — a global platform for all prepaid products: gift cards (Apple, Amazon, Google), airtime, and eCash — all via one simple API.
Think of finperks as the “Stripe for Prepaid.” We started in summer 2025 and have already onboarded 700+ brands. The first client goes live by the end of the year.
The prepaid market is massive — €600bn today, growing to €1.8tn by 2028.
We’re a team of eight based in Berlin-Charlottenburg - a mix of experienced founders and talented new joiners.

Tasks
As a Legal & Compliance Working Student, you’ll work closely with the founders to support finperks’ legal, regulatory, and contractual foundations as we scale.
If you enjoy structured thinking, research, and translating legal complexity into clear processes, this role is for you.
- Support legal and regulatory research (e.g. payments, vouchers, consumer protection, GDPR)
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts (NDAs, client agreements, partner terms)
- Help document and maintain internal policies and legal processes
- Support compliance-related workflows and coordination with external legal advisors
- Assist with legal due diligence for partners, vendors, and new markets
- Help organize and maintain a structured legal document repository
- Work directly with the founders on legal topics related to product, partnerships, and operations
Requirements
You don’t need extensive work experience! We’re looking for motivated, detail-oriented students who want to learn fast and take ownership.
- Currently enrolled in Law, Business Law, or a related field
- Strong interest in commercial law, contract law, and regulatory topics
- Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
- Ability to research legal questions independently and summarize findings clearly
- Comfortable working in English (our company language)
- Proactive mindset and willingness to work hands-on in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to have: Experience with compliance topics (e.g. GDPR), contract management tools, or prior exposure to startup or fintech environments.
