contribute to an ambitious initiative to enhance our backend infrastructure, while improving the system architecture and performance through higher modularisation and reusability
build new features for our products, while also feeling responsible for maintenance and taking ownership of the existing code: either have direct impact on the customer journey by improving our business insurance advisory application or go deep and improve on our business logic to determine quotes and manage our product data
be involved and show interest in all team decisions, including our technology stack and ways of working
share your knowledge with the tech team while also learning from other team members. You can do this both in dedicated environments – like our internal tech talks or our docs – as well as, of course, in your day-to-day work
ideally do necessary changes in our React and Next.js-based frontend application to avoid dependencies to other team members
What we expect:
ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills - being emphatic is what sets us apart
strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to identify and address both technical and business logic related challenges
enjoying and feeling confident working with Node.js and TypeScript
sharing our values when it comes to code quality – validating through tests is part of it
product-oriented, user-centered thinking and the drive to build something great
good understanding of APIs – ideally GraphQL
a growth mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges, contribute ideas, and continuously improve both individually and as part of a team
ideally basic knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS, as we rely on both for managing our deployments
What we offer:
caring, funny, emphatic colleagues, in an environment where everyone treats each other on equal terms
flexible working hours and location of your choice, remote (within Germany), hybrid or at our Munich office – up to you. We also offer 30 days of vacation and a workcation benefit to allow you to work for up to four weeks in any of the countries within the EU
regional public transport ticket (Deutschlandticket)
conference & training budget – we love to attend conferences as a team, lately visiting a conference in Amsterdam together
an obvious one: high-end hardware of your choice (we prefer MacBook Pros)
gym membership and the usual perks that will not make you decide for or against us, but that we still pay attention to, like free drinks, fresh fruits and numerous company & team events
