Sales Development Manager
Compensation for this role is $135,000 annually plus competitive commission plan
We are a remote-first company, with offices in Tarrytown NY, St. Petersburg FL, London, and Argentina. For this role, we are happy to consider US-based candidates, with preference to Eastern time zone residency, in the following states: CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA and WI.
Role Overview:
Exactera is seeking a dynamic Sales Development Manager to lead a consultative outreach team focused on creating organic engagement and enhancing intent through strategic marketing objectives. This role requires a motivational coach who understands that today's outbound strategy relies on both automation and personalization. Experience with AI-driven tools like Lavendar is preferred.
As a Sales Development Manager, you'll develop and train a motivated and enthusiastic team. The Sales Development team is the first point of contact with prospective Exactera customers and is crucial to the success of our customer acquisition process. This position demands a passion for sales and for building a successful sales team. Exactera works with a diverse client base across numerous industries, including Transfer Pricing, R&D Tax Credits, Tax Provision, and other compliance. Experience in this space is not mandatory but a proven record of driving top of funnel and opportunity conversion is.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire and coach a team of Sales Development Reps
- Develop sales, product, and industry skills through coaching and by demonstrating great sales fundamentals
- Inspire and motivate team members with creative incentives
- Regularly report on team and individual results, forecast pipeline, and booking targets
- Make process, efficiency, and productivity improvement recommendations
- Hold team members accountable to meet target metrics and KPIs
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- BA/BS degree (or 4 years relevant work experience in lieu of degree)
- 2+ years in the software sales space as an SDR Manager, with a history of overachieving targets in new business acquisition- previous experience as an SDR in addition to this also helpful
- Proven track record in driving pipeline growth
- Experience managing and improving Sales Development Goals
- Strong understanding of the importance of automation and personalization in outreach
- Familiarity with AI tools (preferably Lavendar)
