    Tasks

    The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for creating new and innovative techniques for clinicians, nurses and administrators to identify unnecessary variation and to eliminate it with appropriate data, nudges and digital interventions. The Senior Data Scientist will be an integral part of the AI team working closely with product managers, engineers and clinicians.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collect and clean data from various sources, including structured data from data lakes, transactional and analytics databases, Electronic Health Record systems and unstructured data from Video, Images and PDF documents using various tools, including large language models (LLMs)
    • Analyze and interpret data using statistical and machine learning techniques, such as linear regression and decision trees.
    • Build and maintain predictive models using techniques such as random forests and gradient boosting.
    • Combine models through ensemble modeling
    • Communicating your findings through technical reports and presentations using visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh.
    • Deploy, test, validate, and maintain machine learning models in production by collaborating with data engineers and machine learning engineers.
    • Perform extract, transform, load operations from data sources for modeling purposes.
    • Design, perform and analyze A/B tests. Develop tools and testing models to ensure data accuracy
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to integrate your models into production systems.

    Requirements

    • 5 to 7 years of experience working in the healthcare or life sciences industry
    • Ph. D in data science, computer science, math, statistics, physics, biology, chemistry, electrical engineering or similar field
    • 5+ years experience using Python, R, SQL. Experience with C, C++, Java, JavaScript is nice to have
    • Strong expertise with data visualization, data analytics tools
    • Proficiency with machine learning techniques and ensemble learning and when they should be used
    • Demonstrated expertise with statistical and data mining techniques and when it is appropriate to use them
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Proficient technical writing and public speaking skills
