Senior Developer Experience Engineer

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior Developer Experience Engineer - Hybrid position in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Workshops and Talks: You'll inspire innovation through engaging workshops and talks that spark creativity and elevate our engineering culture
• Craft Documentation and Quick-Starts: By crafting clear and concise documentation and quick-start guides, you'll pave the path for developers to navigate with ease
• Iterate on the Golden Path: You will refine the golden path, ensuring that it's not just a path but a highway to success for our development teams
• Make the Delivery Time Faster: You'll accelerate our projects, slashing delivery times and making speed a hallmark of our development processes
• Increase Reusability and Drive Standardization Efforts: Your initiatives will promote the re-usability of solutions and drive standardization, creating a cohesive and efficient environment for our developers
• Remove Friction from the Process: You'll streamline processes, ensuring that our development journey is smooth and hassle-free
• Provide Teams with Data: You'll equip our teams with essential metrics, empowering them to gauge their own progress and steer their projects with data-driven insights
• Tech Survey: Your tech survey expertise will be instrumental in charting the course of our technology landscape, helping us make informed decisions that shape our future

Requirements

• Tech Stack Expertise: You have at least 4 years' experience in a similar role where you have developed a deep expertise in at least one of our tech stacks: Java/Kotlin (JVM, Gradle, SpringBoot), Golang, TypeScript (Node, Express, React), or Rust
• Be a Process Optimization Advocate: You're not just familiar with development processes and practices but also passionate about them. Merge requests, approvals, trunk-based vs. branch-based development – you're eager to optimize and automate these to perfection
• Proven Software Engineering Mastery: You've walked in the shoes of software engineers, building and designing scalable applications, tools, or distributed systems. You understand their needs, empathize with them, and are on a mission to supercharge their efficiency
• DevOps Enthusiasm: You have a deep understanding and passion for Cloud Native Tools and technologies like Kubernetes, GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, GCS, etc.), GitHub, Grafana, Sentry, and Docker and in particular progress delivery automation (CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, canary deployments, service mesh)
• Architect of Developer Delight: You're a creator, designing, building, documenting, and sharing robust and delightful solutions in the form of services, CLI tools, scripts, and plugins for fellow developers
• Strategic Mindset and Tactical Execution: You're a strategic thinker who can translate the trivago platform vision into actionable objectives. You work closely with your engineering manager to pave the path for your team's success and make data-driven decisions
• Passion for Technical Communication: You enjoy working with a highly technical team, crafting exceptional technical documentation, and insightful tutorials. Your communication skills especially in English (our company language) are equally great
