We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality-Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing team. As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll work collaboratively with our software and product teams to build enterprise-grade services and establish high-quality software engineering pipelines.
Our goal is to drive the industry-wide adoption of the Cardano blockchain, empowering institutions and industries with the tools they need to build a decentralized, fair, and sustainable future.
The ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge of setting up and maintaining automated test pipelines for unit-, integration- and frontend testing. You should have a proven track record as a QA engineer, with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for mentoring others. Basic knowledge of blockchain is a plus. You will have the following responsibilities:
Build enterprise grade software to enable decentralized identity for various industries and domains.
Define, implement and maintain test automation and software quality measurement pipelines for cloud-based backend applications as well as client applications for different devices.
Drive quality by implementing process improvements (QA) and executing testing (QC).
Perform strong manual testing across various platforms and environments.
Create, maintain, and execute test cases to ensure valid coverage. Define, track, and report on key test metrics to measure quality and progress.
Support the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, maintaining quality checkpoints from requirements analysis through to production release.
Make test automation a lean process by providing guidance and implementation templates and by specifying conventions.
Testing of our software shall become an inherent part of our development without significantly slowing down the development speed of projects with different quality requirements in the range from proof of concepts to full fledged enterprise applications.
Manage external testing campaigns if necessary.
Researching industry standards and leveraging the latest technology to constantly improve the software we build.
Contribute to our Open-Source repositories and provide technical guidance to the community whether in direct communication or consulting the community managers.
Your story:
5+ years as a QA engineer.
Strong experience in producing high quality software products and an eye for detail.
Experience in complex domains where applications must be highly fault-tolerant and handle unreliable or unpredictable circumstances, such as out-of-order messaging or connectivity failures.
Proven experience in both QA (process improvement, prevention) and QC (testing, detection).
Strong skills in executing manual testing across various platforms and environments.
Experience in test case creation, maintenance, and execution.
Ability to define, track, and report on key test metrics to measure quality and progress. Experience supporting continuous integration and delivery processes, ensuring quality checkpoints are met at every stage.
Excellent experience in implementing and maintaining test-automation systems for different scopes (unit-, integration-, reliability-, upgrade-, load-, frontend-testing) as part of a software development pipeline.
Profound knowledge of test automation frameworks and software quality checkers for different programming languages.
Experience in managing external testing campaigns.
Experience in mentoring and training less experienced QA engineers and software developers.
Broad range of experience including the following Git, integration of software lifecycle tools like ticketing system and Jira/Confluence etc., building of CI/CD pipelines and further automation related technology.

Nice to have:
Knowledge of blockchain technology in general or the Cardano blockchain and its ecosystem in particular.
Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms like asymmetric encryption, digital signatures and cryptographic hash functions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and participation in standard ceremonies (e.g., Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Sprint Reviews).
