    Job Description

    The Sales Operations Specialist will play a key role in driving sales excellence by partnering closely with the sales team to implement process improvements and establish operational discipline. This role is focused on enhancing sales efficiency and effectiveness through hands-on support of day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives.

    Responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of data within Salesforce (SFDC) and NetSuite to ensure accurate and comprehensive customer and order records. The specialist will also support core sales support functions such as quote generation, lead assignment, opportunity management, order processing, report development, and the delivery of actionable business insights.

    In this cross-functional role, the specialist will collaborate with Marketing, Order Administration, Finance, Sales, and Legal to ensure a smooth and streamlined lead-to-cash process that aligns with company goals.

    To thrive in this position, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships across teams in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the rollout and adoption of new and enhanced tools for sales teams, including the development of training materials and execution of ongoing knowledge assessments.
    • Partner with Account Executives and customers to understand needs, evaluate data, and deliver customized solutions through the quoting process.
    • Ensure high-quality data management in Salesforce by enforcing data standards and executing regular data cleansing and validation activities.
    • Address customer inquiries and issues promptly, working cross-functionally to continuously improve the overall customer experience.
    • Provide end-to-end support to sales teams and customers throughout the lead-to-cash lifecycle.
    • Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for revenue growth, taking initiative to drive problem resolution and implement effective solutions.
    • Design and deliver tailored Salesforce reports and dynamic dashboards to provide actionable insights for key stakeholders.

     

    Qualifications

    Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

    • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
    • 2–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Support, Reporting, or a similar function
    • Comprehensive knowledge of sales operations and systems, encompassing the full sales cycle, account and territory planning, opportunity management, pipeline tracking, and the end-to-end order fulfillment process
    • Exceptional attention to detail with solid analytical, process improvement, and project management skills
    • Experience supporting both hardware and software sales teams is a plus
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
    • Positive attitude, enthusiastic approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes:

    • Previous experience in a start-up or high-growth environment
    • Familiarity with business intelligence and CRM tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Tableau, Sigma, and Definitive Healthcare
    • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)

    Location: 

    Butterfly offers a hybrid work model for most positions, with team members spending two or more days a week in the office. While flexibility is key, we value in-person connections that spark creativity and teamwork.     This is a remote position based in the Germany.

    Compensation 

    Our estimated salary for this role based in Germany is between 40,000 - 50,000 EURO + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
