IN A NUTSHELL
Are you passionate about turning innovative ideas into impactful products? At BRAINEFFECT, we are looking for a Product Development Manager who brings both strategic thinking and execution power. You will own the development of new functional food and supplement products from brief to launch, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and regulatory experts. If you're ready to create game-changing products that improve mental performance and well-being, we want to hear from you.
YOUR TASKS
- Manage the full product development lifecycle from ideation and feasibility to formulation, validation, scale-up, and launch.
- Collaborate with suppliers, labs, and manufacturers to co-develop products, optimize costs, and ensure timely launch.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by working closely with the Quality Manager to meet all EU requirements for food supplements.
- Lead cross-functional development projects with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Monitor market and consumer trends and ensure new products align with customer needs and brand strategy.
- Leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Suite to streamline and optimize product development workflows & processes.
YOUR PROFILE
- 2-3 years of experience in product development within the food, functional food, or supplements industry.
- Strong knowledge of functional ingredients such as adaptogens, probiotics, and vitamins, including their formulation for efficacy, taste, and stability.
- Degree in Nutritional Science, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Neuroscience, or similar fields.
- Proven success in managing complex projects and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Confident in writing detailed product briefings and specifications.
- Familiarity with AI tools and interest in using them to boost efficiency.
- Proactive communicator with assertiveness and strong stakeholder management.
- Strategic & creative thinker: You bring ideas to life that are bold yet business-relevant – shaping products that inspire consumers and drive growth.
- Fluent in German (C1) and English (B2); French is a plus.

- Case Study: This might be the most fun part. We will ask you to prepare a short assignment and submit your results within a given amount of time.
- Meet your team-lead: Within a videocall you will meet your teamlead. Time to talk more about technical facts and the work within the department at BRAINEFFECT.
- Office Interview: Even though it is very convenient to meet online, we would like to invite you to our office and give you the chance to get to know us in person. You will also get to know Fabian, our CEO, who can also give you some exciting facts about BRAINEFFECT and holistic mind nutrition.
