Full Stack Cloud Developer
This is a remote role, but you are welcome to join us in the Munich office
Tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AWS serverless solutions that power both frontend and backend components, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability
- Lead the development of responsive, user-centric web applications using Vue.js (or a comparable JavaScript framework) and TypeScript
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Node.js (TypeScript) and Python, leveraging AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB and other serverless technologies
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK or Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources
- Ensure cloud security best practices by configuring IAM policies, encryption, and compliance controls
- Optimize application performance and cost-efficiency through monitoring, logging, and tuning of AWS services
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of architecture, configurations, and deployment procedures
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to deliver high-quality features on schedule
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the full stack, from frontend behavior to backend performance and availability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on frontend engineering
- Expertise in Vue.js (or a similar modern JavaScript framework) and TypeScript
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js (TypeScript) and Python
- Experience designing and deploying AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform)
- Familiarity with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong grasp of cloud security principles, networking, and compliance standards
- AWS certification (Developer or DevOps Engineer) is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Mobile App development
- Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress) and automated end-to-end testing
- Knowledge of design systems, accessibility, and performance optimization techniques
- Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time data streaming
- Previous exposure to mobile web frameworks (e.g., Ionic, Quasar)
