Your mission

You take responsibility in changing the way healthcare works in Europe and beyond. With your work you help 1 Mio people in 2028 to get the best possible health outcome through the right doctors or clinics. You leverage technology to enable our employees and patients.

• Enjoy working as part of a cross functional team.
• Write and maintain high-quality and well-tested code that is aligned with the overall service architecture and utilises abstractions and code isolation effectively. You can also prepare a fast proof of concept when you need to.
• Understand our engineering strategy and often involve yourself in discussions on the implications for the team you are working in
• Look for opportunities to simplify product & technical design
• Approach engineering work with a security lens, actively look for security vulnerabilities both in the code and when providing peer reviews
• Have excellent communication skills and written English, are self-motivated, and comfortable working in a remote position
• Deliver praise and constructive feedback to teams, teammates and manager in a useful manner
• Encourage teammates to openly share their opinions and contribute to discussions in a respectful manner. Approach disagreement non-defensively with inquisitiveness. Your profile

• In your professional career as a software engineer (min three years) you have been working on state of the art software architecture and you are familiar with recent trends and modern Software Development
• You are comfortable with Elixir since this is our primary language
• Additionally, you are acquainted with web development frameworks like Phoenix
• Practical experience following Domain Driven Design
• Good understanding of SQL, Databases and basics of User Experience Design
• Solid foundation in software patterns, data structures, algorithms, software design and experience designing & building scalable data-intensive architectures

The senior citizen has been experiencing leg and foot pain while walking for several years. Her previous doctor diagnosed peripheral arterial occlusive disease in both legs. The patient underwent surgery to insert stents, but only achieved slight improvement.

Unhappy with the results of the operation and her overall health situation, the 74-year-old sought the expertise recommended by BetterDoc. The specialist thoroughly examines the senior citizen and suggests that circulatory problems may be due to a narrowing of an abdominal artery. Consequently, he refers her to a hospital for further investigation.
