    About the Role – Marketing Manager

    We are seeking a highly motivated AZO Marketing Manager with strong expertise in content and online marketing and event management. The candidate will focus on AZO’s general marketing activities as well as on marketing initiatives related to the ESA BIC Programme. This is a permanent position, with the selected candidate expected to begin as soon as possible.

    Tasks

    • Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing activities across company projects, collaborating with graphic designers and project managers to deliver well-structured, user-friendly, and visually compelling stories and deliverables
    • Create, edit, and manage high-quality content in English and German across blogs, newsletters, brochures, press releases, and other marketing channels, including editorial planning
    • Plan, build, and optimise email marketing campaigns using Mautic, including HTML newsletters, automation workflows, landing pages, segmentation strategies and performance tracking
    • Develop and run social media campaigns across LinkedIn, X, and other relevant platforms, covering content planning, publishing, paid and organic initiatives, performance monitoring, and live event coverage via tools such as Hootsuite
    • Contribute to multimedia content, including videos, livestreams, and webinars, using tools such as vMix, Vimeo, or GoToWebinar, from storyboarding and technical setup to basic editing and delivery
    • Support the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, coordinating marketing materials, venues, technical equipment, on-site logistics, guest management, and post-event communication to ensure a seamless experience
    • Maintain and manage project-related databases, coordinating clear and timely communication with project partners, senior leadership (including the CEO), and key stakeholders

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and enhancing WordPress websites, including advanced customisation with Elementor, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Strong marketing expertise, covering content creation, campaign execution, and performance analysis across web, email, and social media channels
    • High level of technical proficiency with common digital tools and platforms, including WordPress, Hootsuite, Matomo, Mautic, MS Office, and related marketing technologies
    • Proven content creation skills in both English and German, including blogs, newsletters, brochures, press releases, and social media posts
    • Experience with marketing automation and email marketing, using tools such as Mautic to build workflows, landing pages, webforms, segmentation strategies and KPI-driven reports
    • Social media management experience on platforms such as LinkedIn and X, including content planning, paid campaigns, and performance tracking via tools like Hootsuite
    • Event planning and coordination expertise, from concept development and cross-team collaboration to logistics, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation
    • Experience supporting award programmes or databases (e.g. Award Force), including data management, reporting, stakeholder communication, and event or ceremony coordination support
    • Multimedia production experience in video recording, livestreaming, and webinar delivery; familiarity with tools such as vMix is a strong advantage
    • Excellent analytical and organisational abilities, paired with a structured, solution-oriented mindset and a high level of attention to detail
    • Full professional fluency in English and German, both written and spoken, is essential
    • Highly proactive and autonomous, able to prioritise effectively, juggle multiple deadlines, and confidently own projects and the company’s marketing activities end to end
