    Tasks

    As Field Engineer ​Lifecycle Assessment (all genders) you are responsible for translating LCA ​methodologies and guidelines into concepts for scalable data transformation. Together with your colleagues in data engineering you leverage primary enterprise data for an accurate and norm-compliant calculation ​of product sustainability metrics. You are a ​key contributor in implementation projects of our software at renowned global enterprise customers and support our customers in all LCA related matters.

    • Data analysis: You specify data requirements for emissions modelling and assess available data sources and data structures on energy and media, waste treatment and direct emissions.
    • Concept Development: You develop a customized concept for calculation of product sustainability metrics based on enterprise data.
    • Implementation Support: You support the implementation team by preparing emissions data and steering tables to be used for calculation.
    • Consulting: You guide our customers throughout the implementation project and provide profound advise on all LCA related matters and modelling decisions.
    • Support 3rd party reviews: You prepare documents for 3rd party reviews and support our customer throughout this process.
    • Methodological advancements: You constantly refine and improve our automation methodology and provide input to bodies developing general LCA methodologies.

    Requirements

    • Degree in (environmental) engineering or natural sciences or a comparable qualification
    • Professional experience in the chemical industry, ideally with experience in performing lifecycle assessments
    • Strong affinity with data and data structures and very strong conceptual and analytical strength
    • Excellent methodological skills and a deep knowledge of common LCA norms and rules; sector-specific know-how and experience in the chemical industry is a big plus
    • Strong moderation, communication and presentation skills on all levels
    • Hands-on and service mentality, conflict resolution skills, as well as diligent working style, personal responsibility and resilience
    • Customer-centric mindset, with a primary focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
    • Enthusiastic commitment to sustainability-related issues
    • Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken German as well as English

    Work mode

    To enable our remote work mode, we work with:

    • MS Teams for synchronous communication
    • GitLab for project management
    • Daily project standup meetings, bi-weekly company meetings
    • 2-4 face-to-face meetings of our team per year
