Your mission
We are currently looking for a Certified Accountant/Tax Clerk (m/f/d) to join our team on-site in Berlin.
As a Certified Accountant/Tax Clerk (m/f/d), you will play an important role in our finance team and support us with various tasks related to process optimization, as well as preparing financial statements and bookings in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Independent Financial Management: You will independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and assist in preparing the consolidated financial statements.
- Comprehensive Accounting Processes: You will be responsible for recording and posting all business transactions, taking into account VAT regulations, including intercompany reconciliations.
- Compliance & Tax Conformity: You will handle the submission of VAT returns, EC sales lists, and statistical reports.
- Proactive Process Optimization: You will actively contribute to special projects and optimization processes in finance and accounting.
- Number Cruncher: You will manage ad-hoc analyses and be responsible for creating and executing payment runs.
Your skillset
- Education: You have completed training as a certified accountant or tax clerk and/or have pursued further education in these areas or possess comparable qualifications.
- Relevant Professional Experience: You bring several years of solid and qualified experience in financial accounting (ideally from a startup or scale-up), particularly in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Fast Close).
- Tool Skills: You are confident in using DATEV Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen and MS Office (especially Excel), and you have excellent German and ideally good English skills.
- Hands-On Mentality: You enjoy taking ownership of your area of responsibility, like working in a team, and bring a good sense of humor.
