ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an on-site Systems Administrator and Development Operations Manager who is detail-oriented, communicative, and extremely knowledgeable from a technical standpoint to join our Xsolla Berlin team. This hybrid role combines traditional IT infrastructure management for our growing 35-person office with specialized support for our game development team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to work closely with team members to resolve their most-pressing technical blockers and keep our team working as fast and efficiently as possible.
Strong technical expertise is essential, along with experience in systems administration and some knowledge of game development processes, particularly with Perforce and Unreal Engine workflows. The ability to manage multiple projects will be key to your success in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES - Systems Administration (Office-Wide)Manage all IT hardware and software assets, maintaining comprehensive tracking and inventory systems.Procure and manage software licenses across the organization.Service and maintain all office machines, workstations, and technical equipment.Coordinate with corporate IT for hardware procurement and enterprise systems integration.Track and manage IT-related costs and prepare budget recommendations.Interface with ISP to ensure reliable connectivity and resolve service issues.Administer and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all office staffCollaborate with our Sys Admin and Dev Ops team in Serbia to establish cross-studio technical infrastructure.Implement and maintain cross-studio backup solutions and disaster recovery protocols.Configure and manage VPN access for remote employees and cross-studio collaboration.Track software usage and costs across both locations.Ensure compliance with software licensing across international teamsRESPONSIBILITIES - Development Operations Manager (Game Development Team)Manage build hardware infrastructure and optimize build processes.Administer and maintain Perforce version control system.Support Unreal Engine development pipeline and toolchain.Oversee digital asset management systems and workflows.Implement and maintain backup systems for development assets and projects.Optimize development workflows and resolve technical blockers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Technical 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration or similar roleStrong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administrationExperience with network administration (switches, routers, firewalls, VPN)Proficiency with Perforce version control systemFamiliarity with Unreal Engine development workflows and requirementsExperience with backup and disaster recovery solutionsKnowledge of hardware procurement and vendor managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - TechnicalPrevious experience in game development or entertainment industry.Experience with build automation and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of digital asset management (DAM) systems.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Understanding of game development production pipelines.Experience with IT security best practices and compliance.Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft certificationsSOFT SKILLSExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical staff.Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.Experience managing IT budgets and cost tracking.Comfortable working across time zones with international teams
