    Our Team:

    The Corporate Finance team is responsible for capital structuring and transaction execution across Terra One’s battery storage portfolio. Scope includes project finance (senior debt, mezzanine), HoldCo financing, M&A, and corporate liquidity. We work end-to-end with Development, Engineering, Trading/Optimization, and Legal to turn projects into bankable assets, structure scalable financing platforms, and support strategic acquisitions.

    We’re expanding our Corporate Finance capacity to support a growing pipeline. We are looking to strengthen our team with an M&A Manager – Project Acquisitions (m/f/d) who will focuses on buying project rights for utility-scale battery storage in Germany and selected EU markets. The person will execute share and asset deals across maturities (early development, pre-RTB, RTB), run cross-functional diligence (grid, permitting/land, environmental, technical), and negotiate definitive documents.

    Your Tasks:

    • Source and qualify potential acquisitions of project rights; maintain a stage-gated, probability-weighted pipeline

    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (developers, IPPs, brokers, financial advisors) to source proprietary opportunities and accelerate execution

    • Evaluate projects using transaction models and documented assumptions

    • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, prepare IC materials and recommendations, brief senior management, align other teams and manage external advisors

    • Lead due diligence across grid, permitting/land, technical concept, environmental, legal titles

    • Negotiate LOIs/term sheets, SPAs/asset deals, development and co-development/framework agreements; manage CPs and closings

    • Standardize DD checklists, model structures, templates, and dashboards

    Qualifications:

    • 5–8+ years in project M&A / acquisitions within energy or infrastructure (developer/IPP, fund, utility, advisory)

    • Track record closing rights/SPV/platform deals for generation or storage

    • Professional German (C1/C2), fluent in English

    • Familiarity with German regulation and corporate law (incl. asset/share deals, notarial practice, land/permitting pathways, TSO/DSO processes)

    • Advanced Excel (project finance modeling, scenarios, sensitivities) and PowerPoint skills

    • Familiarity with battery storage specifics (revenue streams, technical characteristics etc.) is a strong plus
