    What We Are Building

selectry is an AI-powered HR Tech startup. We help companies find and hire the right people faster by combining automation, structured workflows and intelligent candidate matching. We are in Beta, fully remote and building fast.

Our core belief: hiring should work based on what people can actually do, not on job titles or years on a CV. That shapes how we build the product. And it shapes how we hire the people who build it.

This working student role is the proof of that belief. We are not looking for the most polished profile. We are looking for someone who can show us the work.

    Why This Role Exists

We are an HR Tech startup that runs on automation. Every part of our recruiting system, from job creation to candidate matching, is powered by Microsoft-based AI workflows built on Power Automate, Copilot Studio and the broader Power Platform. The person in this role builds and maintains that infrastructure from the inside.

This is a working student role where someone who thinks in systems, builds agents and understands how to engineer context will outperform someone with years of experience clicking through manual workflows. We believe skill beats seniority. So we designed this role, and this job posting, to reflect exactly that.

    What You Will Build

    AI-powered workflows

    • Design, build and optimise automated workflows using Power Automate, Copilot Studio and Agent Flows: these are our primary build layer, and we want someone who knows them or is serious about mastering them

    • Build and extend AI agents that run autonomously inside our Microsoft environment, using Copilot Studio, MCP integrations and the emerging Microsoft Agent 365 framework to reduce manual work and extend what our current setup already does

    Internal operations

    • Identify where manual processes can be automated and build the solution inside our Microsoft environment, not just the recommendation

    • Extend our Microsoft 365 setup with Copilot integrations, automated notifications and intelligent data flows so the team focuses on work that matters

    System integration

    • Connect our automation layer to the platforms we use across recruiting, communication and data management, primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem including SharePoint and Microsoft 365

    • Make sure workflows are stable, documented and transferable, not just clever one-time builds

    The automation roadmap

    • Evaluate automation tools and approaches with a clear written recommendation for what we should build next

    • Prepare a phased plan: quick wins, system extension and scalable automation infrastructure

    What You Bring

No degree requirement. No minimum years. We hire on what you have built and how you think about systems. Student projects, side projects and self-taught work all count. What matters is that you have actually built something and can explain how it works.

    • You have built something with Power Automate, Copilot Studio or the Power Platform, even in a personal, academic or self-taught context: show us what you made

    • You think in systems and agents: when you see a manual process, your instinct is to map it, find where a Copilot agent or automated flow could own it, and build that

    • You understand context engineering: not just writing prompts, but structuring instructions, knowledge sources and agent behaviour so outputs are consistent and reliable

    • You are comfortable in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and understand how its tools connect: where data lives, how it moves, and what that means for an agent that needs to act on it

    • You work independently, take ownership and ship without needing step-by-step direction

    • You communicate clearly in English and document what you build so others can understand, use and extend it

    Good to Know

These are not requirements. If you have them, good. If not, the role will teach you.

    • Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Dataverse or Power Apps for more complex agent builds

    • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or multi-agent orchestration concepts

    • Basic understanding of API connectors and how data moves between Microsoft and third-party platforms

    • Interest in HR Tech, recruiting automation or B2B SaaS operations

    What You Get

    • Fully remote with flexible hours built around your studies

    • You build automations that run inside a real HR Tech product, used by real companies every week

    • Direct access to the founder, short decision paths and feedback that is honest rather than polished

    • A live system to work in from day one: no sandbox, no fake data, no waiting for access

    • Hands-on experience at the current edge of AI automation, workflow design and intelligent operations in a real startup

    • A real environment to grow in: we invest in people who build with us, create space to develop beyond the task and open up more responsibility as you prove yourself

    • If the fit is right, there is a path beyond the working student contract. We are building a company and we want the people who helped build it to grow with it

    How to Apply

We practice what we preach. This is skill-based hiring. No CV required, no cover letter.

    Send us two things:

    • Show us something you built. A Power Automate flow, a Copilot Studio agent, an Agent Flow, a context-engineered prompt system, a multi-step automation. Any format: a link, a screenshot, a short walkthrough. Something real that runs or ran. A description of what you could build does not count.

    • We run our recruiting system on Microsoft-based agents and automated workflows. Tell us: which part of a hiring process would you design an agent for, and how would you engineer its context so it behaves reliably? One specific idea. Not a concept, not a vision. The kind of thing you would actually build. This tells us how you think, not what you have read.

If those two things are strong, we will reach out within a few days. We do not ghost.

A note on who we hire

We built this job posting around skills and output, not background, identity or biography. That is intentional. We evaluate everyone on the same two things: what you have built and how you think. Nothing else is part of the decision. selectry is committed to equal opportunity and welcomes applications from all people, regardless of gender, background, nationality, age or any other characteristic. If the work fits, you fit.
