Jobs in Germany
Berlin
At praxipal, we are building an AI-powered healthcare admin workforce to address the global shortage of medical staff.
Medical assistants are too valuable to spend their days chasing callbacks, cleaning up schedules, sending repetitive messages, or wrestling with invoicing and documentation workflows. Staff should spend time on patients. That’s why we build Luna.
Our AI receptionist, Luna, answers and automates phone calls and she’s loved by more than 100 medical practices. Right now, we’re expanding her from calls to end-to-end patient communication across any channel. Over the next years, we’ll grow her into an AI worker that automates all administrative processes in medical practices, embedded directly into the systems teams already use.
We’re backed by one of Europe’s leading investors and are one of the fastest growing healthtech startups in Germany. Our team has previously worked and studied at Palantir, Amazon, SAP, the University of Cambridge, and Hasso Plattner Institute.
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Infra & Platform) to build the infrastructure foundation that keeps Luna reliable, secure, and fast at scale.
Luna runs in real time and automates critical practice workflows that touch sensitive patient data. Reliability, latency, and security aren’t infrastructure goals. They’re product features.
This is a deeply technical, hands-on role at the foundation of everything we ship. You’ll build and operate the platform that decides whether Luna feels dependable in day-to-day practice operations: cloud foundations, CI/CD and rollout safety, identity and access, observability, and Luna’s real-time voice stack. You’ll reduce blast radius, make deployments routine, make failures diagnosable within minutes, and make security the default instead of a follow-up task.
This role is on-site in Berlin and requires fluent German.
Own and evolve our cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP (Kubernetes, Pulumi)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for safe, repeatable deployments and rollbacks
Own authentication and identity infrastructure (Zitadel) and core security controls (least privilege, secrets management, access boundaries)
Build strong observability (metrics, logs, tracing), actionable alerting, and runbooks that make failures diagnosable quickly
Improve reliability through rollout safety, incident response, and postmortems that measurably reduce repeat failures (SLOs where useful)
Extend and maintain our real-time voice infrastructure, including SIP-based services written in Rust
Improve reliability and latency under real-world load (failure handling, performance/cost tradeoffs, capacity planning)
Build scaling and isolation patterns for operating across hundreds of thousands of medical practices (multi-tenant concerns, operational tooling, cost controls)
Proven experience owning production infrastructure
Strong understanding of Kubernetes, distributed systems, and operational best practices
Deep understanding of DevOps and SecOps principles
Strong instincts for reliability and security: safe rollouts, predictable recovery, least privilege, and clear operational signals
Ability to debug production systems using logs/metrics/traces and drive fixes end-to-end
Clear communication under pressure (incidents, outages, security issues)
Fluent German (spoken and written)
Several years of experience in startups or scale-ups
Excited to work on-site in Berlin in a fast-moving build-mode environment
Strong hands-on programming experience in Rust
Strong experience in TypeScript and/or Python
Proven experience owning production infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP
Hands-on experience with Pulumi (including Kubernetes stacks)
Experience with Tailscale
Prior work with SIP, telephony, or other real-time systems
We optimize for impact in production: systems practices can trust daily.
We’re hands-on and pragmatic: robust systems that work under real-world constraints instead of ivory tower architecture.
We’re direct and collaborative: strong opinions, low ego.
