PFASuiki is setting the global standard for safe, sustainable PFAS destruction. Through advanced electrochemical oxidation (ECO), we transform contaminated streams into non-hazardous outputs, closing operational and liability gaps across multiple market verticals.
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the integration of our ECO technology into scalable, end-to-end wastewater solutions from concept to commercial deployment.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Process & Solution Development: Lead the design of end-to-end treatment trains (pre-treatment à core treatment à polishing). Design scalable water-treatment process configurations for leachate, industrial wastewater and utilities. Define process envelopes, mass/energy balances and performance models; optimise sequencing, salinity, solids and organics management to maximise ECO performance.
- Feasibility, Pilot & Scale-Up: Oversee experimental design, parametric testing, and benchmarking. Define pilot configurations and operating strategies that represent real-world conditions. Manage scale-up risks including hydraulics, fouling, mass transfer and electrode performance.
- Technical Leadership & Governance: Mentor the technical team across process engineering and pilot execution. Establish engineering standards, stage-gated development workflows, and data reporting frameworks.
- Safety & Industrialization: Ensure treatment solutions meet operational safety, regulatory compliance and industrial deployment requirements. Support development of repeatable, modular and scalable system designs suitable for commercial implementation and long-term operational reliability.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- MSc (minimum) in Chemical, Environmental, or Water Engineering.
- 7-10+ years in process engineering (Water/Wastewater or Industrial systems).
- Proven experience in process design and system integration, scaling technologies from pilot to commercial deployment.
- Strong experience in complex treatment (landfill leachate, high-strength industrial effluents).
- Demonstrated client-facing experience in technical delivery or solution development.
Core Technical Competencies
- Advanced process engineering and simulation, reactor design, and hydraulics.
- Working knowledge of biological, physico-chemical, and separation processes (Foam fractionation, GAC, IEX, membranes, etc.).
- Deep understanding of industrial wastewater challenges (salts, COD, ammonia, metals, etc.).
Benefits
What We Offer
- Impact: Solve a global environmental crisis with measurable results.
- Culture: Dynamic, collaborative startup environment in Munich where your ideas shape the strategy.
- Package: Competitive fixed salary + performance-based variable, including public transport and lunch subsidies.
