This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of YLD. We are currently looking for a Contract Android Engineer (Kotlin) in the European Union.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact Android project within a dynamic, collaborative environment. Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java, following SOLID principles.
- Implement test-driven development, writing unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure robust code.
- Work with GraphQL APIs and integrate backend services efficiently.
- Use Jetpack Compose and other modern Android frameworks to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Participate actively in code reviews, pair programming, and Agile ceremonies such as sprints and standups.
- Collaborate with remote teams, ensuring smooth communication and delivery of project milestones.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to deliver high-quality performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid knowledge of Java.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and TDD practices.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and writing maintainable, testable code.
- Experience working with GraphQL APIs.
- Comfortable using continuous integration tools and collaborating with remote teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
