    As our Head of People and Organisation DACHIT you will act as a strategic business partner to the DACHIT Leadership Team, shaping and driving the People & Organisation (P&O) agenda across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

    About the position  

    You ensure strong alignment with the global P&O strategy, translating this into clear local priorities, operational plans and measurable objectives. As our Head of P&O DACHIT you are accountable for the effective delivery and execution of these plans, enabling business performance and organisational effectiveness across the DACHIT markets.  

     Key Responsibilities: 

    • Act as the strategic P&O business partner to the DACHIT General Manager and Leadership Team, delivering global P&O strategy locally to drive business performance and cultivate a strong, high performing company culture at all levels in the organisation.
    • Lead organisation design and workforce planning aligned to business strategy.  
    • Drive talent management, succession planning, and development of A-Player talent.  
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to address capability gaps, deliver recruitment priorities, and strengthen employer branding.  
    • Own local reward and benefits strategy, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and local legislation. 
    • Champion an 'Always On' performance culture and lead the annual performance and reward review processes.  
    • Lead organisational change initiatives, ensuring clear communication and minimal business disruption.  
    • Foster a positive employee relations climate, including leading Works Council interactions and driving effective consultation and negotiation processes 
    • Ensure engagement and compliance. Works council management and negotiation.  
    • Lead and develop the local P&O team to ensure operational excellence and an engaging employee experience across the organisation." 
    • Use people analytics to inform decisions and ensure data accuracy and insight.  
    • Build leadership and line manager capability to support continuous development and performance.  
    • Collaborate with global P&O, Reward, and Talent teams to shape and implement effective global and local solutions. 
    • Ensure strong governance, including budget ownership, policy guidance, union engagement, legal compliance, and business continuity planning. 

     

    So, what does it take to be successful in this role? 

    • Extensive P&O generalist experience partnering with leadership teams, underpinned by strong business acumen. 
    • Proven ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships and influence leaders.  
    • Broad expertise across employee relations, employment law, talent, reward, performance, workforce planning, and development.  
    • Experience ideally gained in a fastmoving, complex environment, including a factory footprint and customer facing salesforce.  
    • Strong analytical capability to translate business needs into effective P&O strategies and solutions.  
    • Strong change management and transformation capability. 
    • Clear, confident communicator with sound judgement in complex and sensitive situations.  
    • Highly organised, resilient, and effective in fastpaced, changing environments.
