About Faircado - Making re-commerce the new e-commerce
Faircado is leading the way in the sustainable shopping movement, making second-hand the first and smartest choice for consumers across Europe. Our mission is simple: turn the chaotic, time-consuming world of second-hand shopping into a seamless and enjoyable experience that’s better than buying new.
We simplify the search for quality pre-owned items by aggregating listings from trusted resale platforms into one user-friendly experience. By bringing structure to a €200 billion resale market, we’re not just building a product, we’re creating a shift in how people shop.
In January, we launched the first version of our mobile app. It has already been used and loved by hundreds of thousands of people who rely on it to find the best second-hand alternatives. We’re now focused on the next phase of growth, improving the product and expanding its reach.
Our journey so far includes the launch of a browser extension, a growing mobile community, and recognition as Product Hunt’s Product of the Day on Black Friday. We also won Slush 100, Europe’s largest startup pitching competition, and secured backing from leading investors including General Catalyst and Accel. Faircado has been named one of Germany’s top startups to watch, and we’re just getting started.
Tasks
- Lead the strategy and roadmap for our mobile and consumer experience products, ensuring alignment with Faircado's mission to promote sustainable shopping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience on our platform.
- Analyze user feedback and data to prioritize features and improvements that enhance our second-hand shopping experience and drive user engagement.
- Drive product launches from conception to release, coordinating efforts across teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Mentor and guide other team members in product management best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and growth within the team.
Requirements
The Role
As our first Product Manager, you won’t just manage a backlog, you’ll shape the product vision from scratch. We’re looking for someone obsessed with user experience, driven by speed and experimentation, and ready to question every norm in how people discover, compare, and buy second-hand goods.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute our mobile product roadmap, from user onboarding to search, social discovery, checkout, and more
- Work closely with our engineers and a designer to ship fast and iterate quickly
- Dive into user feedback, product analytics, and marketplace dynamics to uncover new growth levers
- Bring structure, clarity, and momentum to a fast-moving environment
- Own outcomes such as retention, GMV, and viral growth, not just outputs
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience building and shipping consumer apps, ideally in marketplaces or e-commerce
- A proven track record of working with lean teams and moving fast without sacrificing product quality
- A creative, lateral-thinking mindset that drives you to challenge conventions and surprise users with delight
- You’re obsessed with user behavior and insights, and you validate rather than guess
- Bonus: Experience with Gen Z products, social shopping, or mobile-first marketplaces
