Job Description
Position: Working Student (20h/week)
Contract: Limited for 12 months with the prospect of extension
Location: Berlin

Tasks
What you will do:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of backend services using PHP (Laravel).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documenting of new features and services.
Requirements
What you should bring:
- You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, or a related field - You already have some professional experience as a software developer
- You are familiar with modern, object-oriented PHP 8.3+
- You are confident using SQL databases (we work with MariaDB)
- You have strong understanding of HTTP principles and experience writing RESTful APIs
- You have strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- German and English language skills level B2
- You are a team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
This would make you stand out:
- Additional Front-End, DevOps or IT Security skills
- You are familiar with "Clean Architecture" or "Domain Driven Design" concepts
- Experience working in hybrid teams
