For our partner, the newest MedTech Start-up out there, we are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer (m/f/d) in Cologne or 100% remote.
roclub is a rapidly scaling MedTech startup building the secure backbone for remote medical device operations. Our mission is to transform how medical equipment is managed and supported worldwide.
With its secure IoT platform, healthcare providers and vetted experts can remotely operate, monitor, and service devices—maintaining uptime for critical systems wherever and whenever they’re needed.
Tasks
- You build and shape the computer vision architecture from scratch, taking ownership of design, implementation, and testing.
- You develop and optimize video processing and on-device computing solutions, leveraging NVIDIA hardware (Jetson, CUDA-enabled GPUs) and multimedia frameworks.
- You implement UI automation pipelines and video workflows using GStreamer.
- You collaborate with an external agency during the project’s early stages while gradually establishing an in-house workflow.
- You integrate vision and automation solutions with hardware and potentially cloud environments, focusing on maintainability and scalability.
- You troubleshoot, debug, and optimize multimedia pipelines, video codecs, and hardware acceleration issues in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Strong experience in computer vision and video processing using OpenCV, with proficiency in Python or C++.
- Hands-on experience with GStreamer pipelines, NVIDIA hardware (Jetson, CUDA-enabled GPUs), and on-device or embedded computing.
- Solid understanding of video codecs, streaming protocols, multimedia frameworks, and Linux-based systems, with strong debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, greenfield project, collaborating with external agencies and gradually building in-house workflows.
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with experience in testing and optimizing high-performance multimedia systems.
- Fluent English skills, ideally also German.
