acemate is building an AI learning & teaching platform for higher and further education institutions. We have strong traction, secured funding and are entering an exciting growth phase. We're looking for a passionate Full-Stack Developer (Working Student) to drive our product forward and help us scale.

Tasks
What You'll Do
Depending on your personal strengths and passions, your position will adapt to cover both technical infrastructure and product development. Being an early, foundational member of the team gives you substantial impact on our technical architecture, product direction, and broader strategic roadmap.
Product Development:
- Collaborate directly with Paul and Emile to engineer brand-new functionalities and improve current features
- Gather actionable user insights, turning their direct feedback into meaningful enhancements for the product
Technical Leadership:
- Guarantee that our systems remain highly reliable and scalable alongside the company's ongoing growth
- Consistently optimize our AI toolchains to take full advantage of the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence
- Operate on a modern technology base powered primarily by Google Cloud and Cloudflare
Past examples of projects you might tackle:
- Duolingo-inspired daily quiz system engineered to sustain strong student interaction with university course materials
- Complex AI pipelines designed to pull visual and textual data from a variety of documents and map those concepts straight into knowledge graphs
- Custom authorization engine developed to manage the increasing intricacies of access control across various institutional environments

- Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
- Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL)
- Infrastructure: Cloudflare (Workers, Pages, Workflows, R2, KV), Google Cloud (Gemini, Cloud Run)
- Tools: Sentry, Langfuse, PostHog, Stripe
