The Senior Test Framework Developer is responsible for the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of our integrated XIL testing ecosystem. This role ensures that our testing infrastructure not only automates execution but serves as a certified foundation for ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity) compliance, enabling our products to reach the highest industry maturity levels and our teams to get the fastest and most meaningful feedback from our tests.

    Specifically we’re looking for:

    • Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field (software, electronics, mechanical), math or applied physics

    • Ideally more than 3 years of working experience in developing / testing automotive embedded software/systems

    • Practical knowledge of automotive communication buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, SPI) and protocols/standards (e.g. J19x9, UDS)

    • Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a project with a hands-on approach

    • Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles

    • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English)

    Your Role and Responsibilities

    1. Framework Architecture & Engineering

    • Design & Implementation: Architect and implement scalable feature additions to our in-house XIL framework and automated reporting toolchains.

    • Performance Optimization: Conduct resource analysis (CPU/Memory) to ensure the framework operates within strict timing limits dictated by embedded real-time requirements.

    • Certification Support: Ensure the HiL environment and framework architecture support the rigorous evidence-gathering required for ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.

    • Standardization: Enforce modular, maintainable code structures adhering to our Internal Python Developer Guide as well as common best practices.

    • Infrastructure as Code: Develop and test deployment scripts to automate the rollout of test environments across the organization.

    2. DevOps & Lifecycle Management

    • CI/CD Integration: Maintain and optimize release pipelines for all versioned work products (Python modules, configs).

    • Stability & Maintenance: Proactively monitor framework stability and establish a support plan to address bug fixes and environment upgrades.

    3. Documentation, Training

    • Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain high-quality API documentation and comprehensive setup/troubleshooting guides.

    • Enablement: Create training materials (tutorials/how-tos) and conduct workshops for Test Engineers and End-Users.

    Our Team Culture

    • Our team prides itself on creating innovative and impactful products, and we are looking for someone who can add to our culture of excellence. To get our product out there as quickly as possible and keep the quality and customer satisfaction high at the same time, is a challenge of its own – and that’s why we want you!

    • You are a passionate and driven engineer who enjoys working with leading-edge technology? You’re motivated by complexity? You want to use your creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles? You’re looking for challenges to grow further? You like to blaze the trail towards the solution, take responsibility and ownership with a hands-on approach instead of just participating? If so, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
