Data Engineer – AWS Lead
📍 Location: Spain- Germany - Barcelona
Work Mode: Hybrid 2 days a week to office
🕒 Experience: 8–12+ Years
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and manage scalable data solutions on the AWS cloud platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in AWS data services along with strong leadership skills to drive data engineering initiatives and mentor teams.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of end-to-end data pipelines on AWS.
- Architect scalable data lake and data warehouse solutions using AWS services.
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategies and solutions.
- Implement robust data governance, security, and compliance practices.
- Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of AWS-based data systems.
- Drive best practices for CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps in data engineering.
- Stay updated with evolving AWS technologies and recommend improvements.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years in data engineering with at least 2+ years in a lead role.
- Strong experience in Python, SQL, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines on AWS cloud.
- Expertise in big data tools like Spark, Hadoop.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and lake architecture.
- Experience working with Snowflake or Redshift.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
