Jobs in Germany
This is an Atlantic portfolio venture.
About the Venture
We are building a cyber risk platform that helps enterprises understand, measure, and reduce identity risk at scale. We turn complex identity and security data into clear, actionable insights that CISOs and CTOs can trust. Founded by experienced cybersecurity leaders with backgrounds in Israeli intelligence, we are recently funded and building from scratch. The problem is real, the market is large, and we are moving quickly.
About the Role
This is a founding infrastructure hire. You will design, build, and operate the entire cloud infrastructure of the platform from day one, owning everything from AWS environments and CI/CD pipelines to container orchestration and observability. You will work directly with a technical CEO and CPTO, alongside backend and AI engineers, to build a secure, scalable, production-grade SaaS from scratch. The role is hybrid, based in central Berlin, and carries real ownership over how the platform runs and scales.
What you'll do
Design and operate the core cloud infrastructure on AWS, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and security boundaries
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for repeatable, auditable, and secure deployments
Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe, and reliable delivery across all services
Own containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), including deployment, scaling, and runtime security
Implement observability across the platform using metrics, logs, and traces (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana)
Operate and secure data infrastructure (PostgreSQL, graph databases) in production
Embed security best practices across infrastructure, including least privilege IAM, network isolation, and Zero Trust principles
Partner closely with backend and AI engineers to design secure service boundaries and deployment models
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across infrastructure, networking, and application layers
Establish DevOps, SRE, and operational best practices as the company scales
Support compliance readiness by enabling controls, logging, and evidence collection for security frameworks
About You
You are someone who builds infrastructure from scratch and takes pride in doing it properly. You are comfortable owning the full stack of cloud operations, making decisions without a lot of oversight, and working closely with a small engineering team where your choices directly shape the platform. Security is not an afterthought for you, it is part of how you think about everything.
5+ years of DevOps / SRE experience, with strong hands-on AWS production experience
Deep knowledge of AWS networking, VPC, subnets, ALB, security groups, and IAM
Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and containerised workloads
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
Strong Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code
Experience operating PostgreSQL (RDS / Aurora) and graph databases such as Neo4J
Comfortable with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus)
Ability to code in Python
Experience supporting and maintaining production SaaS platforms
Excellent English, written and spoken
Nice to have:
Experience with Go or Java
MLOps experience
Background in security architecture, identity security, or security engineering
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
Understanding of OAuth/OIDC, SSO, SCIM, RBAC/ABAC, and identity protocols
Familiarity with cloud identity controls (IAM, CloudTrail, Azure Entra ID)
Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
Knowledge of Zero Trust, least privilege, and continuous verification principles
Experience with AI/LLM security or agent sandboxing
Why Join
This is a chance to be the founding DevOps / infrastructure person at a funded cybersecurity company, with real ownership over how the platform is built, secured, and operated. You will work directly with a technical CEO and CPTO, with fast iteration and strong alignment. Identity risk, AI-driven security, and SaaS access control are among the most interesting and fastest-growing areas in enterprise security. The team is small, the autonomy is high, and the infrastructure decisions you make will define the platform.
