We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building a scalable, cloud-native data platform that drives analytics, machine learning, and AI-powered solutions. This role involves designing and operating data infrastructure, developing robust pipelines, and ensuring high-quality, reliable data for data scientists, analysts, and product teams. You will work in a collaborative, innovative environment, leveraging modern AWS services, Python, PySpark, and Infrastructure as Code to deliver impactful data solutions. The position offers flexibility in work location and the opportunity to shape the future of data-driven products at scale.
Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and operate a cloud-native data architecture on AWS, including Kinesis, Glue, ECS, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code for reusable, scalable components.
- Build robust streaming and batch data ingestion pipelines and design RESTful APIs to serve internal and external users.
- Develop efficient data processing applications in Python and PySpark with tested, version-controlled code.
- Implement automated data quality checks and observability to ensure reliable production data.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and containerize services with Docker for seamless deployments.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python, with practical experience in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, real-time data streaming, and data processing.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience with PySpark for processing large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to thrive in international, fully remote teams.
- Interest in Machine Learning and MLOps; experience with production ML applications is a plus.
