For the expanding engineering team in the Stuttgart region, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/x) who is passionate about building robust quality processes in highly complex software environments.
Tasks
- Drive quality assurance across sophisticated software products used in demanding high-performance environments
- Design, implement, and continuously improve automated test frameworks for APIs, backend services, and distributed software components
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies across unit, integration, system, and end-to-end levels
- Analyze complex software behavior and identify root causes in close collaboration with software and system engineers
- Validate software reliability in virtualized and hardware-related environments
- Ensure stable and reproducible test infrastructures for complex development workflows
- Contribute actively to quality standards, release readiness, and continuous improvement processes
- Work closely with interdisciplinary engineering teams across software, systems, and product development
- Support the transition from reactive testing toward proactive quality engineering
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python for test development and automation
- Deep understanding of modern testing methodologies across multiple test layers
- Solid experience working in Linux-based environments
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and complex system setups
- Experience testing service-oriented architectures and communication interfaces such as REST or gRPC
- Knowledge of configuration and automation tools is highly beneficial
- Additional exposure to programming languages such as Go or Kotlin is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented working style
- Comfortable operating in technically challenging environments with evolving requirements
- Fluent English communication skills
