Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist (F/M/D) to join the Discovery Collective team in Berlin.
About the role 🖥️We are building a new team to face fashion search challenges. You will be part of a multicultural, innovative, versatile, supportive environment that takes work-life balance seriously. To have a data driven company is one of our priorities. The Search team is working on delivering high quality search results from 5M+ items, for 78 markets in 6+ languages. You will work with other software engineers and applied scientists to build Vestiaire Collective’s fashion search & recommendation engine. You will work on hard and fun problems of fashion discovery where personalization matters.What you will do 👜Build full pipelines for models to solve use cases for fashion discovery (product recommendation, ranking, personalization…) Collaborate with business and product and other engineers and applied scientists and deploy your solutions to production. Ensure model maintenance, monitoring, and scalability are consistently addressed.Propose and implement R&D POC projects if you identify possible enhancements to the business, and pitch them to the relevant teamsYou will be expected to take on a leadership role on your projects: you will make the appropriate technical choices (algorithms, data transformation, technologies to use), discuss scope & scheduling with collaborators outside the team, and incorporate feedback as needed. Who you are ⭐Demonstrated ability to create and optimize end-to-end pipelines for machine learning models.
