    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CFD Simulation Engineer to join our hydrogen research team. In this role, youwill be responsible for the numerical modeling and simulation of components within electrochemical systems, with a primary focus on electrolyser technology. Your work will contribute to the advancement of ou cutting-edge solutions in the field of
    sustainable energy and electrochemistry. In the following, there are your most important tasks:

    • Develop and implement Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to model fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transport within various components of electrochemical systems, including electrolysis cells.
    • Create and optimize 3D geometries of system components and generate high-quality meshes suitable for CFD simulations.
    • Set up and configure CFD solvers to accurately simulate multiphase flow, species transport, and electrochemical reactions within the system.
    • Collaborate with experimental teams to validate simulation results against real-world data and refine models accordingly.
    • Identify opportunities for system performance improvement through simulation-driven design changes and parameter optimization.
    • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of simulation methods, results, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including materials scientists, electrochemists, and mechanical engineers, to ensure a holistic approach to system development.

    Your profile

    All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role? Keep in mind its all about electrical equipment, thats why it is essential for you to have:
    MS or PhD in Material Science, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering (or related field) and 3+
    years of industry experience:
    Proven experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, particularly in
    electrochemical systems or related fields.
    Proficiency in CFD software packages such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, or Open FOAM.
    Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass transport principles.
    Familiarity with electrochemistry, especially as it relates to electrolysis, is a significant
    advantage.
    Experience with CAD software for geometry design and mesh generation.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
    Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    Ability to work in cross-functional teams with multiple-tasks
    Strong oral and written communication skillsi n English or/and German - at least C1
