For our location in Freiburg im Breisgau, we are looking for a Quality Engineer (f/m/d) as maternity cover for 18 months.

As part of a maternity cover the position is temporary. However, our company is growing and in a rapidly changing market and business environment anything can happen.

Tasks

  • Support the Head of Quality in the development of an effective quality strategy and the systematic implementation of current quality methods and processes.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in production and engineering areas and participate in the development and implementation of actions.
  • Lead quality investigations using structured problem solving processes.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions and improve the existing documentation system.
  • Perform risk analysis and develop appropriate risk minimisation measures.
  • Participate in project meetings to ensure that quality requirements are met.
  • Promoting methodological competence and awareness of quality principles.

Requirements

  • Completed engineering studies, ideally with a focus on industrial engineering, chemical engineering or a comparable field.
  • Experience in quality initiatives.
  • Experience in quality management systems in an industrial and multicultural environment is a plus.
  • High level of initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, a “yes we can” attitude and a pioneering entrepreneurial spirit as well as a structured way of working.
  • Knowledge/experience of implementing quality management systems is helpful.
  • Very good written and spoken English, German is a plus.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications and SharePoint.
