As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll work closely with the Data and Cybersecurity teams to design and build a secure and resilient infrastructure. You will also collaborate with other engineers to drive tech excellence in the organisation.

👩‍💻👨‍💻 What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure as code to ensure scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient releases of our platform.
• Monitor and analyze platform performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize our platform's scalability and reliability.
• Design, implement, and test backup strategies to safeguard our platform data and maintain data integrity.
• Work closely with our cybersecurity team to ensure our platform meets industry standards and regulations for security and compliance.
• Establish engineering best practices to ensure high-quality software development, including code review, testing, monitoring, and documentation.

🏅What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Strong knowledge of AWS, including best practices and ability to architect and deploy highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems
• Proficiency in managing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, with a focus on automation and consistency
• Experience maintaining and scaling large Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization
• Familiarity with observability and security monitoring tools, including but not limited to Datadog and Falco
• Experience managing data pipelines and their underlying infrastructure (Kafka, Postgres, DWH), with a deep understanding of data storage, retrieval, and processing technologies
• You are ambitious, curious and resilient with a can-do attitude, always with a suggestion for a solution (rather than dwelling on a problem)
• You thrive in teams within a fast-paced and dynamic environment (change is the norm, not the exception)
• And - last but not least - you are kind, honest and generally have an open mind

It would be a plus if you also:

• Experience working in regulatory environments
• Familiar with security standards such as PSD2, PCI/DSS, ISO27K, OWASP
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Go, with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable code

Kostia joined Mondu in January 2022 as Engineer Director. He started his engineering career as an entrepreneur, creating e-commerce stores for the Ukrainian market. It helped him to develop a customer-centric mindset and learn how to build effective teams.Then he worked as a technical lead in industries such as Gaming, AdTech, and FinTech, where he set up teams from scratch and developed products from ideas to market fit. Before Mondu, Kostia worked on his own B2B FinTech startup in Berlin. With Mondu, Kostia established an effective engineering department of five teams, fostering a thriving and goal-oriented environment that delivers high-quality products.
