As we scale up our team to start production of our groundbreaking jet, we have added a new role to our logistics team! We are looking for a Supply Logistics and Packaging Manager who will manage the supply and sales logistics strategy with a focus on packaging as well as transport, distribution, and fleet management.
Joining a great team that includes Logistics Operators and Logistics Planners, your role will support our mission to supply the future of air traffic by providing a reliable, innovative, and customer-oriented logistics service along the supply chain.
Your tasks:
- Create packaging concepts and configure new load carriers for all required parts including implementation, monitoring, and repair.
- Collect packaging requirements from all stakeholders and define decision-making criteria.
- Research and simulate packaging solutions using software tools like PackAssistant
- Define and implement a concept for digital container management to enable on-schedule and cost-efficient container flow within the material supply
- Devise the implementation plan including capacity evaluation and organize required support.
- Ensure an optimized material supply (JIS, JIT, material kits, etc.) plan for every part approach by considering logistics, procurement, and production constraints e.g. storage capacity, minimum order quantity, and lead time
- Coordinate and guide external service providers supporting Lilium in packaging planning and design or other supply logistics activities.
- Represent logistics requirements in supplier negotiations, ensure a standardized framework, and support procurement in supplier assessments and selection
- Solve ad hoc supply chain-related issues and drive sustainable problem-solving
About you:
We are looking for a proven team player who can communicate cross-functionally and get things done using diplomacy and firm decision-making. Demonstrating an enthusiastic customer focus and strong problem-solving skills, you should be comfortable working with autonomy as part of a diverse team.
Proven experience in supply logistics and packaging planning within the automotive or aviation industry is important along with knowledge of modern container construction methods and state-of-the-art packaging technology.
Experience in deploying logistics concepts in a green field environment is beneficial and a strong ability to multitask, organise, and prioritize assignments is crucial.
- Technical skills: MS office; ERP/WMS Systems.
- Qualification: Completed degree in industrial engineering, logistics, or a similar field of study preferred
- Language Skills: English minimum C1, additional languages are beneficial
