This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Team Lead Full Stack Engineering (all genders) in Germany.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented engineering team in building innovative, scalable EdTech solutions. You will guide the technical vision, define architecture, and oversee the development of modern digital learning platforms. The position requires a strategic mindset to balance technical excellence with business value while driving infrastructure modernization and frontend innovation. You will collaborate closely with product management, cloud operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure high system performance, stability, and scalability. As a hands-on leader, you will mentor team members, enforce best practices, and contribute directly to complex migration and development projects. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and a chance to make a tangible impact on the e-learning industry.
Accountabilities:
• Define and drive the overall technical strategy and architecture of the platform.
• Lead the migration of infrastructure (e.g., ECS to Kubernetes) and database consolidation (Neo4j to PostgreSQL).
• Modernize the frontend, implementing consistent design systems and upgrading to frameworks like Material UI.
• Ensure system stability, scalability, and performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and guide the engineering team, promoting best practices, code quality, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with Cloud Ops, Product Management, and other stakeholders on complex projects.
• Contribute hands-on to development, code reviews, and problem-solving for critical technical challenges.
Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python (Django & FastAPI), with solid experience in TypeScript and React.
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including data modeling, query optimization, and complex queries.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and observability tools such as Datadog is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor AI) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly and make pragmatic decisions.
• Independent, proactive, and capable of leading a team with technical authority and inspiration.
• Fluent in English; good German skills are an advantage.
