Backend Engineer (d/f/m)

Tasks

• Developing and maintaining cutting-edge web applications
• Creating concepts for handling new features in the backend
• Creating and managing GraphQL endpoints on an high-performance Elasticsearch Cluster.
• Maintaining our internal APIs and data connectors
• Continuously reviewing and refactoring our existing code base with focus on code quality, speed and user experience
• Creating cutting-edge data sourcing processes as well as efficient management of existing databases
• Server administration of our dedicated servers and cloud server infrastructure (GCP/AWS)
• Supporting data integration processes (APIs, Web Scraper etc.)

Requirements

• Strong background in JavaScript backend technologies, especially Node.JS (nest.js), TypeScript
• Sound knowledge in database technologies, especially Elasticsearch, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• Expertise in GraphQL APIs, Kubernetes and Gitlab (CI/CD pipelines)
• Experience in Linux server administration
• Expertise in JS frontend technlogies, especially react.js is a plus
• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail
• Fluent in English
