Your tasks

As a Cloud and DevOps Engineer, you will bring the DevOps mentality to our development teams. Together with the rest of the team, you will be involved from the initial requirement to commissioning and ongoing operation. You will advise our customers and our development team on the selection of suitable architectures and technologies in order to take aspects such as scalability and reliability into account right from the start.

Typical tasks are:

Requirements analysis, architecture and technology selection in modern cloud development projects.
Developing powerful CI/CD pipelines to achieve a high degree of automation and ensure the continuous testing and delivery of projects.
Conception and configuration of environments with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Setting up and operating monitoring solutions to ensure clean operation. Thanks to individual training opportunities, you will always be at the cutting edge of technology at Ergosign. At the same time, you can give free rein to your ideas by actively participating in innovation projects and realize exciting projects as part of a team.

Your skills

Degree in computer science (or related field) desirable.
Extensive experience in the architecture and operation of software in modern cloud systems, including AWS, GCP or Azure.
Expertise in platform-independent approaches with Docker and Kubernetes.
In-depth knowledge of building powerful CI/CD pipelines to automate development and deployment processes.
Experience in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (e. g. with Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
Strong belief in the DevOps approach.
Practical experience with monitoring solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Conviction of DevOps as an integral part of modern software development.
Practical experience in software development, preferably with Java, Javascript/Typescript.
Familiarity with common toolchains such as GitLab, Node/NPM, Maven is an advantage.
High sense of quality and responsibility.
You are fluent in German and English.
