Your mission

Our Business Intelligence team has the mission of improving the speed and quality of decision making at 1KOMMA5° by making insights available that enable all teams to take data driven decisions. For this purpose, we develop state-of-the-art tools, such as performant ETL pipelines in Google Cloud Platform, a powerful data warehouse in BigQuery and a Looker instance serving as the central BI tool.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• From day one you work closely with business stakeholders to deliver value from data and help steer our business
• You build data models and dashboards in Looker
• You build end-to-end ETL pipelines from raw data to BigQuery
• You co-own the schema, models, dimensions and metrics together with your BI colleagues, ensuring that data is always accurate, accessible and understandable by end-users
• You support the globalization of our BI efforts as 1KOMMA5° expands internationally
• You contribute to optimizing internal processes in order to stay maximally productive
• You contribute to enabling business owners to generate new insights via “self-service” BI

Your profile

You have:

• 1+ years of hands-on experience building data models & analyses in Looker (or similar), ETL pipelines and administering data warehouses. We welcome both seasoned experts and talented individuals looking to make their mark in the field
• Excellent Knowledge of SQL and Python, as these are the backbone of our data operations
• Completed university degree in STEM or business analytics to demonstrate your foundational knowledge in data science
• An agile and result-oriented mindset. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and take pride in delivering impactful solutions
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Looker and GCP services
• Experience in setting up impactful business analytics
• Exposure to the (renewable) energy industry
